It's a new year, and here are the newest numbers for Orlando real estate. There are 9,067 homes for sale in Orlando and 9,017 homes with contracts. Yes, those are both big drops from the end of 2011. Two things tend to happen at the end of the month: first, sales close; second, listings expire. If the listing on your home expired, check The Remax Difference. Of the homes available for sale, 866 are foreclosures and 3,091 are short sales.
It is way, way, way too early to early for any sales to recorded for this month, and last month's sales numbers did not change a lot since my last post. So far, there have been 2,070 closed December transactions with a median sales price of $115,000.
